An ATV fits tighter trails and is easier to get into cover. A side-by-side carries a partner, the gear and the animal out. Riders who hunt alone tend to keep a quad; riders who hunt with someone tend to end up in a side-by-side.

What size ATV should a new rider start on?

Engine size matters less than fit and weight. Sit on a few. We keep youth and mid-size machines on the floor alongside the big-bore ones so the comparison is a walk across the showroom rather than a guess.
