West Boise, 83704: Towne Square, Fairmont and a Short Hop to the Freeway
83704 is the heart of west Boise: the blocks around Boise Towne Square, Fairmont, the ponds of Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve, and a grid of neighborhoods cut by Fairview Avenue, Franklin Road and Ustick. More than forty thousand people live in it, which makes it the second most populated ZIP in the city after 83709.
How does the drive start from west Boise?
Closer to the freeway than most of the city. Cole Road runs south to its own interchange, and Eagle Road is a few minutes farther west for anyone north of Fairview. Once on I-84 there is nothing between you and the Oregon line but Nampa, Caldwell and the long grade down to the Snake.
That makes 83704 one of the easier Boise ZIPs for a round trip to our lot: a test ride, lunch in Ontario, and home before the afternoon traffic on Eagle Road builds.
What riding is closest from this side of town?
South, into Owyhee County. The route runs through Nampa on Highway 45 to the Snake River crossing at Walters Ferry, then along Highway 78 to Murphy, the county seat. From Murphy the Silver City road climbs into the Owyhee Mountains on dirt, to a mining town that still stands.
It is a long, dusty, rocky climb, the kind that decides between a sport machine and a utility one. Tell us you plan to run it and we will talk about tires and cooling before we talk about price.
Why shop Ontario from west Boise?
Because a single-line dealer carries one or two brands, and the comparison a Towne Square shopper wants runs across six or seven. We keep Polaris, Can-Am, Kawasaki, Honda, CFMOTO, Suzuki and the rest side by side, with a track behind the building.
Bring a written quote from any of them. We beat it by $300 on a franchised dealer's number or pay you the $300.
Under an hour west: onto I-84 at Cole Road or Eagle Road and straight out past Caldwell.
