The 2017 Maverick DPS is a two-seat sport side-by-side for riders who want quick, nimble handling on tight trails and open ground. A 976 cc Rotax 1000R V-twin makes 101 hp, fed by Intelligent Throttle Control with electronic fuel injection and sent through a CVT with standard engine braking. You pick 2WD or 4WD, and the Visco-Lok QE front differential locks on its own when traction drops. Tri-Mode Dynamic Power Steering gives three levels of assist that change with speed. Up front and out back, FOX 2.0 PODIUM QS3 piggyback shocks adjust by hand with a three-position knob, and the TTA rear end delivers 14 in. of travel. It rolls on 27 in. Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 radials mounted to 12 in. cast-aluminum wheels.
